Xiatech is one of the UK’s most exciting technology scale-ups, behind Xfuze – an AI-powered platform enabling complex organisations to accelerate digital transformation in real time. Recognised as a 2024 Megabuyte Emerging Star and winner of the 2025 IT Leadership Award, they are a business punching well above their weight.
When their Chief Commercial Officer needed to hire a lead enterprise salesperson, the brief was clear but demanding: a proven enterprise closer capable of landing multi-million dollar ACV deals, with the hunger to build pipeline from scratch. A rare combination.
Strong Search accepted the challenge. This would not be the fastest search in the company’s history. It would be one of the most persistent.
Xiatech’s platform plays at the top end of enterprise technology. Deals are complex, sales cycles are long, and the commercial conversations happen at C-suite level. The person stepping into this role needed to be credible in those rooms, capable of navigating procurement, legal, and technical stakeholders simultaneously, and able to articulate a compelling vision for digital transformation.
At the same time, Xiatech is a scale-up. They needed someone with genuine hunger, someone who would not wait for inbound leads or rely on an established brand name to open doors. The ideal candidate needed to combine the commercial maturity to close large, complex deals with the drive and tenacity that is often harder to find as careers progress.
Identifying the right background was equally challenging. The team at Xiatech had a clear view that MuleSoft, a market leader in integration and API management, would be an ideal hunting ground. Candidates from that environment would understand the integration space, be comfortable with technical complexity, and have experience selling at the ACV levels Xiatech required.
The search also carried an additional layer of complexity: the successful candidate required a visa transfer to take up the role. This was not a simple administrative step. It required careful navigation of the immigration process, close coordination between all parties, and a level of candidate management that goes well beyond standard executive search.
